About Us

The Twilight Walk first took place in 2010 to symbolise 10 years since Irene Thompson, a much loved Mum and Granny, passed away with non-hodgkins lymphoma. The 'Thompson' family consisting of locals - Yvonne King, Claire Cardno, Allyson King, Sandra Morrison, Susan Morrison, Laura Morrison and Angie Shearer and her family from Huntly along with the support of many friends, wanted to organise a special event in her memory and the Twilight Walk was born!

Why Cancer Research UK?

For the last 10 years, the Thompson and Shearer families have taken part in Cancer Research UK's Relay For Life. For the last 6 years we have organised the Relay For Life in Peterhead and raised over £500,000! We continue to support Cancer Research UK because we know the money is making a difference. Cancer Research UK is the world's leading charity dedicated to cancer research, they support over 4,500 scientists, doctors and nurses.
